Misneach le freastal ar Aonach Leabhar Radacach Dhoire

Beidh an grúpa Misneach ag freastal ar Aonach Leabhar Radacach Dhoire, Dé Sathairn an 27ú Eanáir ón mheán lae ar aghaidh.

D’fhreastal Misneach ar an Aonach anuraidh agus baineadh an-tairbhe as. An lá i ndiaidh an Aonaigh, ar an Domhnach, beidh Misneach ag glacadh páirte i Mórshiúl Dhomhnach na Fola.

Dúirt Oisín Mac Eó, urlabhraí de chuid an ghrúpa i dTír Chonaill agus Doire:

‘Is deis ar dóigh é an tAonach bualadh le daoine atá ar comhintinn linn agus táimid buíoch as an chuireadh atá faighte againn ó na heagraithe den dara bliain as a chéile. Deis mhaith atá ann fosta ábhar suimiúil a phiocadh suas idir leabhair agus phaimfléid pholaitiúla, fhealsúnachta agus ar ábhar na steachailte sóisialaí.’

Lean Mac Eó leis ag tagairt do thuras Cymdeithas:

‘Anuas air sin, beidh dream gníomhartha Breatnach ón ngrúpa Cymdeithas yr Iaith linn i nDoire. Táthar ag súil go mbeidh ceardlann á reáchtáil le linn an Aonaigh dár teidil “Ag troid ar son Cearta Teanga ar an dá thaobh de Mhuir Éireann”.

Tá fáilte ollmhór ag dul dár gcomrádaithe radacacha ón Bhreatain agus neartóidh an turas s’acu na nascanna a chruthaigh muid nuair a d’fhreastal cuid de bhaill s’againne ar Ard Fheis s’acu thall sa Bhreatain Bheag roinnt blianta ó shin, agus nuair a thug siad siúd cuairt orainne i mBaile Átha Cliath le linn aimsir an chomórtha le linn 2016.’

Chríochnaigh Mac Eó:

‘Mar sin, tá fáilte is fiche roimh dhaoine teacht agus labhairt linn ag ár seastán ag an Aonach. Beidh ár n-iris Mionlach, agus ábhar eile, á ndíol againn ann. Beidh muid ann chun bualadh le dhaoine agus beidh suim faoi leith againn bheith ag cruthú nascanna leo siúd atá dáiríre faoi fheachtas násiúnta ar son todhchaí na Gaeltachta a thógáil.’

Misneach to attend Derry Radical Book Fair

Misneach will be attending the Derry Radical Book fair this Saturday 27 January from midday onwards.

The group attended the Book fair last year and found it highly rewarding. The day after the Book fair, on Sunday, Misneach will take part in the annual Bloody Sunday March.

Misneach spokesperson for Donegal and Derry, Oisín Mac Eó, stated:

‘The Book fair is an ideal opportunity for us to meet likeminded people and we are grateful to the organisers for extending a welcome to us for the second year in a row. It also represents a great opportunity to pick up some interesting material, whether it be political or philosophical pamphlets or books, as well as material on the socialist struggle.’

Mac Eó continued by alluding to the visit of Cymdeithas:

‘Moreover, a group of Welsh speakers from the group Cymdeithas yr Iaith will be with us in Derry. We intend to hold a workshop with the group during the Book fair entitled “Fighting for Language Rights on both sides of the Irish Sea”.

We welcome wholeheartedly our radical comrades from Wales and their trip with reinforce the links we have been building with them since we attended their Annual General Meeting in Wales a number of years ago, and they visited us in the centenary year in Dublin during 2016.’

Mac Eó concluded:

‘Therefore, we look forward to people coming across to our stand at the Book fair. Our magazine Mionlach, among some other material, will be sold on the day. We would be most interested to meet people and to build links with those who are serious about building a national campaign for the future of the Gaeltachtaí.’
